Stork

The stork is a graceful glider indoors and a mind-blowing stunt outdoors. This is a devil to fold, so I recommend this plane for professionals only. This plane needs some elevator in order for it to fly straight.

(1) Fold the top left corner to the bottom right corner.

(2) Unfold, and repeat on the opposite side.

(3) Unfold.

(4) Mountain fold in half.

(5) Unfold.

(6) Push the center of the paper down.

(7) Bring the top layers to the left while folding the creases.

(8) Continue to flatten the paper by folding it in half.

(9) Pull the flap on the left to the crease bellow.

(10) Fold the top flap to the point where you reach the corners.

(11) Repeat on the opposite side.

(12) Fold the right end of the flap so it matches with the edge underneath.

(13) Repeat on the opposite side.

(14) Open the wing.

(15) Flip over.

(16) Squash the top layer.

(17) Next, you will make a petal fold. Make the creases first.

(18) Unfold.

(19) Finish the petal fold.

(20) Make the leading edge by mountain folding the bottom layer on top of the wings.

(21) Fold in half.

(22) Inside reverse the front to make the neck area.

(23) Fold the wings down. Flip over and repeat on the other side.

(25) Make a winglet.

(26) Repeat on the opposite side.

(27) Open the wings.

(28) Add lots of elevator.

(29) Proceed to the neck area.

(30) Inside reverse to make the bill.

Vought Kingfisher

The Vought Kingfisher is an airplane that was used for marine patrols. The pontoon on the bottom of this design isn't too accurate with the real thing, but it is made with a petal fold, which could be a challenge. I'm still working on the pontoon technique. Try launching it over a hard wood floor at low altitude.

(1) Start with a regular piece of printer paper, Fold diagonally so the top raw edge can match the right raw edge.

(2) Unfold.

(3) Repeat on opposite side.


(4) Unfold.


(5) Fold half of the x behind.


(6) Unfold


(7) Push on the center.


(8) Bring the horizontal creases to the center.


(9) Push the top layer down.


(10) Finished water bomb base. Unfold all of the layers.


(11) Fold the top corners to the center.


(12) Proceed with the water bomb base one more time.



(13) Fold the bottom edges towards the center.


(14) Unfold both flaps.


(15) Fold the top behind.
Note: Stop the fold when you reach the old creases.


(16) Now it gets complicated. fold the bottom tip of the top layer upwards. use the flat top as the center. Use the old creases.


(17) Flatten.


(18) Finished petal fold. Fold tip in half downwards.


(19) Fold in half. Rotate it if necessary.


(20) Unfold.


(21) Fold in half again. This time, pull the top flap out.


(22) Flatten.


(23) Fold the wing by folding the nose in half.

(24) Fold the opposite wing.

(25) Make a small winglet on the wingtip.


(26) Repeat on the opposite wing.


(27) Open wings and winglets.


(28) Make a stabilizer in the center. Pull tail upwards.


(29) Flatten.

(30) Squash the tip of the pontoon area.


(31) Curl the pontoon upwards.


Finished pontoon.
(32) Add lots of elevator.
